This Privacy Policy applies to PillSignal, including the Android app with package name com.PillSignal and the iOS app PillSignal.

PillSignal is a paid, one-time purchase medication reminder and pill tracking app. PillSignal is designed to keep medication reminders and tracking data private on your device.

PillSignal is a reminder and tracking tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. Always follow instructions from your doctor or pharmacist.

Information Stored by PillSignal

PillSignal may store the following information locally on your device when you choose to enter it:

Medication names
Dosages
Medication form, color, icon, and notes
Start dates and optional end dates
Reminder schedules and reminder times
Dose history, including taken, skipped, missed, and upcoming status
Refill tracking details, such as pills remaining and refill reminder threshold
Caregiver contact name, phone number, or email address if you choose to add one
App settings, including notification preferences

Local Storage and Data Collection

PillSignal stores app data locally on your device. PillSignal does not require an account, does not require cloud sync, and does not operate a server for storing your medication data.

The developer does not collect, receive, sell, share, or use your medication data, dose history, caregiver contact details, or app settings. PillSignal does not use advertising tracking, third-party analytics, or third-party advertising SDKs.

Data Retention

PillSignal keeps locally stored app data on your device until you delete it, reset it in the app, or uninstall the app.

Because PillSignal does not collect app data on a developer server, the developer does not retain a copy of your medication data, dose history, caregiver contact details, or app settings.

If your device is backed up through Apple, Google, or another backup service you choose to use, copies of local app data may be included in those backups according to that service's settings and privacy practices.

Data Deletion

You can delete PillSignal data from your device at any time by using the app's Delete all data option in Settings.

You can also delete locally stored app data by uninstalling PillSignal from your device. Deletion from device backups is controlled by the backup service or device settings you use.

Because PillSignal does not maintain user accounts or store app data on developer servers, there is no server-side account or server-side medication record for the developer to delete. For privacy questions, you may contact the developer at the email address below.

Notifications

PillSignal uses local notifications to remind you about medications you have added. Notification content is generated on your device.

PillSignal may ask for notification permission. You can change notification permissions at any time in your device settings.

Caregiver Contact

You may choose to add a caregiver contact. PillSignal does not automatically send caregiver alerts or medical warnings.

If a dose is missed, PillSignal may show an option that lets you manually contact your caregiver using safe wording such as: "A medication reminder was not confirmed."

Any message you choose to send through SMS, email, or another app is handled by the app or service you use to send it.

Exports

PillSignal can create PDF exports and data exports containing medication details and dose history. Exports are created only when you choose to create them.

You control whether to save, share, or send exported files. Once you share an exported file outside PillSignal, the recipient or receiving service may handle that information according to its own privacy practices.

Payments

PillSignal is offered as a paid, one-time purchase app. PillSignal does not include subscriptions, in-app purchases, ads, a Pro version, or free usage limits.

Purchases are processed by the app store where you download the app. The developer does not receive your full payment card details from the app store.

Children's Privacy

PillSignal is not intended for children to use without involvement from a parent, guardian, caregiver, or appropriate adult. PillSignal does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
